Make the Most of Membership Benefits at The Highlands

Woman enjoys member benefits at The Highlands Sportsmen's Club learning to shoot with an on-site professional trainer

A membership at The Highlands Sportsmen’s Club is so much more than access to private hunting grounds. From the level of care put into our fields and facilities to the quality of birds we use and expert guides and dogs we provide, hunting here is a premier experience you won’t find anywhere else in Wisconsin. When you become a member at The Highlands, you gain access to a variety of exclusive perks and services. Learn how to make the most of your membership benefits.

Outdoor Benefits

Our members get private access to nine fields across 600 acres of Sheboygan County’s pristine Kettle Moraine. As a limited membership club, this makes it easy for our members to reserve a hunting field or schedule a guided hunt. Often, our members can reserve a field 24 hours before they wish to hunt, which is quite uncommon among other hunt clubs.

Not in the mood for a whole day of hunting? Get in some practice at our world-class sporting clay shooting stage. Enjoy the latest in automated clay thrower technology, in addition to expert marksmen on-site to stand our five-stand positioning. If you’d like to learn how to shoot better or brush up on your shooting skills, The Highlands also offers training sessions with a professional shotgun coach and a long-range and tactical marksman.

Across the grounds, there are events held throughout the year, including a regular schedule of rotating live music all summer long on the patio. If you’re out on the patio, chances are you’ve already met our hunting dogs, too—it’s their preferred hangout spot. Speaking of dogs, we can even arrange a guided hunt with one of our accomplished pointers or flushers for members.

The Highlands is a nationally accredited dog training facility, and we offer programs for both the flushing and the pointing breeds. If you’d like to train your dog to become a hunting dog, The Highlands’ members have full access all year round to our grounds. Make use of our facilities to get your dog in hunting shape, from basic training to water retrieval, flushing, and more.

Indoor Benefits

After a private guided hunt or sporting clay practice, head to The Clubhouse, where members can relax with a hearty meal or a soothing glass of wine from our on-site vineyard, SoLu Estate Winery & Meadery. The Clubhouse boasts a full bar and grill lounge, complete with flat-screen TVs and entertainment space. Members can store their personal items in the members-only locker room and clean up after a hunt in the pristine, on-site shower facilities.

If you forget any gear or would like The Highlands to take care of your ammunition needs, you’ll have private access to The Field Shop. Here, you’ll find professional gunsmithing, hunting equipment rentals, ammunition, and more at your disposal. Moreover, the Firearms Academy of Wisconsin offers firearms specialists to work one-on-one with you to find you the perfect gun at their own booth inside of The Field Shop.

Members are also the only people with access to The Private Reserve, a beautifully designed room where members can host small tasting parties of the highest quality wine. Whatever piques your fancy is possible, everything from our very own Wisconsin-made wine and mead to rare French wines. The Highlands’ members also have the exclusive ability to reserve this room for their own events and parties.
